I am a tracker. Calendar keeper. To-do list maker. With all of the technology I have at my fingertips, you would think I would be the most organized person ever. Yet, as 2019 approached, I felt the most unorganized I’d ever been in my life. No matter what app, what alarm, what electronic system I tried to use, it wasn’t working. Then someone showed me their Passion Planner.

This is not the datebook I used in the 1990s. The Passion Planner is much more than just a paper calendar. It allows me to focus my schedule, tackle my to do list and most importantly, reflect on everything accomplished during the week. Some weeks looks as if I was attacked by a preschooler with all the color splashed on the pages. Other times, simple focus on a few areas of life shows I had it together (or ignored everything and binged on Victoria or Game of Thrones – I’d still consider it a successful week).

When I first bought mine this past year, I only had the option to purchase one size, which was medium. With the upcoming Academic Planner due to arrive this July, they listened to their customers and brought back all three sizes:
- Small (5.8″ x 8.3″) Perfect for the person on the go or the smaller purse
- Medium (6.9″ x 9.8″) Not too big, not too small (just right for some!)
- Large (8.3 x 11.7) Have a lot going on, this might be the perfect fit!
What I love most about the Passion Planner:
- Month View & Week View
- In the Month View – little area of “Not To-Do List”. I love the reminder I give myself on what NOT to focus on!
- Week View has Sunday or Monday week start (I’m a Sunday gal)
Weekly view has a Quote – that always seems to highlight what I need to hear that week. Well played, Passion Planner.Weekly view has an area for “Good things that happened” (I love filling out the highlight of the week!)- Free Space each week for whatever I need. doodle? deadline? event highlight? I have the space for it without worry!
- Blanks pages at the back of the planner – the ideas for using them are endless! With an upcoming vacation next week I plan to journal
a bit of our adventures! - Monthly Reflection. This is honestly the best part of the Passion Planner. We are SO busy, we forget what awesome events filled our days. You owe it to yourself to remember the good (and not so good) and realize that you made it another month and will be ready for the next.
Since I have three boys and our lives revolve around the school district calendar, I am really looking forward to my Academic Passion Planner for 2019-2020. This time, I am upgrading size-wise to the Large. Part of me has to adjust a few things (like the size of my purse) but with the anticipation of three boys in school (one a senior year), work projects and personal projects – I think I am really going to enjoy the extra space!
My next Passion Planner will start in August 2019 (which is great since that is when all the back to school stuff starts to happen!) and will wrap up shortly after school ends in July of 2020. My plan? To sit down early July, map out anything and everything I can for the school year and start it off on the right path! Now is the chance to get yours – and they are still selling the 2019 Passion Planners (January – December) or treat yourself to an undated version. And don’t forget the pens!

I love planners but have yet to find the perfect one. I’ve mostly had the large teacher ones that are way too big to carry anywhere. My last one had refillable pages, but they tear out easily, and as much as I thought I’d like the refillable pages, I don’t! You may have sold me on this one, especially the one that fits in my purse. Great review!
I compromised – I just will buy a bigger purse! I want to make certain I have enough room for the overlapping schedules of three boys. Hopefully one day I can downsize again! Hope you give this one a chance!
Looks like you have a great planner system. I need to take tips from you. I’m a list maker but never really used a planner.
I need one of these! I am for sure a planner. Thank you for sharing!
This is so cool!
What a great planner!! I love to keep track of my week on paper..just in case my cell goes out or gets lost, having a back-up is so important and this is a nice one!!
Ooo nice idea! I’m in love with planners, this one looks great!
I think I’ll get this for next year. The one I have now is functional, but I love this one more.
I used to think I was an organized person until I realized I was not. LOL
I have my iPhone and my planner but for some reason I can’t get organized. I need something like this to keep me organized. Thanks for sharing.
I feel that people that have planners are so cool and organized. I wish I can be that committed. I love all the features in this planner, maybe I will give it a try to see how it works for me. Thanks so much for sharing about this planner.
This looks awesome! I’ve been looking for a planner recently because I like the act of writing something down rather than trying to keep track of it in phone.
I adore planners. I am always looking for a new one. I am checking these out.
Ohh I love my planner! I am someone who has to write everything down or it would never get done! I take a lot of time with mine as well. I love color coding and making it as neat as possible! Love this!!
I love planners, especially as I am single parenting 7 children right now. I love the feel of them (vs. apps) and the creativity I can put into them. This would be right up my alley. HOWEVER…. I have kids who look for my buttons and I have never made it through the year without my planner being destroyed or somehow hijacked by someone. These are kids who don’t trust easily and have learned to look out for themselves, so I don’t blame them… but I have resigned myself to an app on my phone (which is always on my person). BORING!!!!
I do have a giant whiteboard to keep everyone’s weekly schedules front and center. If someone sabotages it, it’s easy enough to rewrite it. And I doodle pretty little things on it.
But I REALLY, really want one of these!!!!
I adore a good planner! It’s my favorite thing to buy every year. I have yet to find the perfect one but that is because my needs are ever evolving. I like this one though since these days i need space for lost of lists.
I definitely need a paper planner because the calendar on my phone is just not cutting it! Love this!
Same here! The change was immediate! Finally, I feel organized again!
I love planners… But I AM a digital person. If it’s on paper then I will never look at it. But when I was in school I relied on my planner!
I definitely need one of these. I feel like the older my kids get, the harder it is to keep track of everything!
I also require a planner of some kind…I keep my outlook calendar is fine for keeping my work meetings, but for my life stuff I need a planner! This one looks perfect!
I collect planners but then I’m terrible about actually using them! I do really like this one though..you’re tempting me! Lol!
I love a good planner, if I don’t write it down, it most likely won’t happen.
This looks amazing I love a planner you can hold. Thank you!
I love a good planner and this looks exceptional. And I like all the extras this one has.
Looks like a great system! I love that it allows you to reflect on the week as well, not just cross off to-do items.
This looks like a great planner! I too am a list maker, and love having a planner to guide me through each week!
I’m about ready to look for a new planner, so this one is going on my list for more research.
I need one of these for sure, I am a total pen and paper person too. Even have huge sheets of butcher paper hanging on the wall for menu ideas and tracking what needs to be done for prep etc. Thanks so much for sharing I’ll add this to my wishlist! 🤗
I’m a teacher and every year I am shocked that there isn’t a BETTER teacher planner out there. I like the idea of color coding because I can use a different color for each subject and ONE of those subjects is PERSONAL LIFE–MY SON. I generally make two “To Do” on sticky notes and stick them to my work laptop or teacher planner (which is always with me). One sticky note is for personal life and the other work. So, I love that there is room for that each week. The power of crossing things off is so satisfying. I once saw a planner like this that was designed by an architect to keep their jobs separated ??!! And, again, thought “Why didn’t a teacher come up with this one?!
This is such a great planner!
I love it! With all of the technology, nothing beats a paper and pen to organize the day!
